Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

Cost of living is getting higher than normal and this will have on almost 85% of the population in Birmingham who want to Bury their loved ones. Jst a money making plan to cause more headache on the deseased family.

Poor people can't burial of there loved one's any more in Birmingham else were in uk its less then half the price.

This increase is outrageous as burial costs are already very high

Burial costs are high in Birmingham anyway compared with other areas. Is the city council so hard up that it's seeking to make money from the dead? Shame I say.

It’s a difficult time as it is we need to support the families rather than burdening them

Everything getting expensive now we can’t even bury our families without worrying about covering the costs!

I do not agree with the increase , as we are currently struggling with costs inflation , low incomes , yet you believe an increase is justified, not sure the council understand how families are already suffering.

The council is fast becoming like a mafia and this seems like extortion, no other way to put it.

55% increase is ridiculous and in what way feasible

I am against the increase in burial costs as this is not in line with the current climate where wages are only being increased by 1-2% inflation is at 1.8% in January 2019 so how do you just a hike of 55%. ?

I do not agree with Birmingham City Councils decision to increase interment costs. Its a disgrace, its getting expensive just to die in UK, not forgetting others bills we already have to pay, and now this!

The cost should remain as is.

Having paid council tax for local services why is the local community charged extortion prices to buried there loved ones in council owned land

At the time of austerity, this 55% increase is totally against logic and common sense.
