Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

This is a sad time for those who have lost a loving one and in particular for the departed most of whom have contributed to the community, city and country in which they live. Hence, there should no charges at all for burial or a bare minimum of £500 only. It becomes embarrassing when families who can’t afford have to ask around for help.

Please do not increase the fees and if possible then waive off if the dying person is without anyone how are these fees be fulfilled? My request to please waive off to help the families behind from been strangled paying those fees.

I feel it is outrageous for Birmingham city council to be charging a grieving family over £1000 for burial of a loved one and it needs looking into

Difficult for the bereaved, shoukd be teduced already too much rather than increased

A death is hard enough to deal with than arrange high burial cost too. Have some respect as we work hard all our lives and deserve respect and dignity.

This is extortion how could they justify such an increase? The service they provide is limited. Bunch of thieves.

Please stop these burial increases it's bad enough to have bills n taxes go up at least keep this low, not everyone can afford to eat let alone burial fee's going up.

I beleive its unfair to increase the cost. Its very expensive as it is by increasing the cost. People will find it very difficult to bury bodies
