Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

Dying has become unaffordable for those without wealth. This is completely unjustifiable and inhumane. Burial costs are already unaffordable for so many families, adding financial burdens to their grief.

How can you justify a 55% increase in burial costs. No price increase please..

I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE PROPOSED INCREASE IN BURIAL COSTS BY BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL WILL CAUSE EXTREME HARDSHIP TO WAST MAJORITY OF THE CITIZENS AND EARNESTLY REQUEST THOSE CONCERNED IN THIS DECISION MAKING TO KINDLY SYMPATHETICALLY REVIEW THEIR DECISION AND REJECT IT FORTHWITH ON HUMANITARIAN GROUNDS.

Please do not increase the fee by nearly 100%

The cost is already high as it is and we couldn’t afford it to be any higher

Another way on how our greedy council can keep lineing up their pockets. Extortion at its best. Senior managers should be locked up for such decisions. Not in the best interest of the community but goes a long way to pay their wages. Parasites won’t let the dead go peacefully.

At a time of bereavent for families please do not add a financial burden that will impact on a large number of families at the worst possible time for them. Please show compassion.

The cost of funeral is currently unaffordable

A person works all their life and pays their taxes should he covered but here when they die, they are to save up for their own death arrangements or have a family member ect to deal with it, personally theres shouldn't be a cost let alone a increase.

I would've never expected this from Labour government as so much support comes from the people of Birmingham . The councillors should pay themselves national minimum wage

Burials are already an expense that for many families is a large burden. No more increases.
