Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

I believe this is absurd to have a massive surge in costs of burial a small increase may be acceptable but this is beyond idiotic

This cost is to expensive. In a time when you are grieving for the loss of your loved one, last thing you want to worry about is the burial cost. 55% increase is very unreasonable

It’s already an issue for family’s who are on low incomes why make them suffer more at a tragic time

Like them times ain’t bad or hard enough you trying to put people out of pocket in hard times.

This increase of 55% is damn right shambolic and I vehemently believe no one will be supporting this venture other than BCC themselves. If the increase was in line with inflation then that would be permissible but this 55% hike in price will have considerable consequences to the vulnerable and needy families Therefore I am signing this petition as an alliance against this prospective increase
