Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

A 55% increase is ridiculous.

Many people are struggling at this moment in time enough without having to worry about brievment expenses. This is another classic case of how OUT OF TOUCH Birmingham authorities are with its people.

I am not in favour of the increase of 55% for burial costs.

As if the families of deceased need more to their stress of loosing a loved one, to them find they have to be in debt just to pay to send them off modestly.

The cost of burials is ridiculous, not many people can afford it.

Funeral cost at a high already , dieing is becoming very expensive becoming a burden even for familys left behind

This increase is just too much. Such an increase should be phased in

The cost should be reduced not increased

This should not be raised

This increase is outrageous and will lead to families not being able to afford the burial of their loved ones

This is uncalled for an increase to Bury a deceased person can you imagine the burden on families who are already bereaving.

I think this is out of order

This is ridiculous. The council cannot do this and this decision is likely secondary to central government cuts. Austerity is a choice. Don't let the bereaved families suffer even more.
