Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

Burial costs should be affordable and fair. A 55% rise in price is a disgrace.

Oppose such a big increase in burial fees which are high enough anyway.

Burial costs are escalating and becoming unaffordable for families to meet these costs

Please Show some respect towards burial process. It should be not for profit.

Please reconsidered your increase as it will put unnecessary burden on families of the breaved.

The increase in price is completely disproportionate to annual GDP growth and therefore nonsensical. If this is the planned increase then BCC should provide a detailed breakdown to explain the astronomical increase and hopefully it’s not to raise revenue for the new CAZ system that is being implemented in Birmingham and needs revenue to implement. I strongly object to such a radical increase in a time of austerity and uncertainty with Brexit and other economical issues causing people to lose their jobs and struggle to live above the breadline.
