Urge Congress to Increase Aid to the Humanitarian Crisis of Syria
The Syrian conflict has created the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. Half the country’s pre-war population — more than 11 million people — have been killed or forced to flee their homes.
This is not a political issue, not a race issue, not a religious issue.
This is a human issue.
According to the U.N., $4.6 billion was the MINIMUM required to meet the urgent needs of the most vulnerable Syrians in 2017 — but only a little more than half was received.
Syrian families who have already lost almost everything have more to fear as life saving humanitarian programs are at risk of massive cuts.
