This is a petition for there to be funding for adaptions to vehicles for those with upper limb deficiencies. At the moment there is Motability for which to qualify you must be on the highest rate of Disability Living Allowence. Most people with upper limb defiencies don't qualify for this. Adaptions to vehicles cost upward of £1300 and those who don't qualify for Motability have to pay for themselves. At 16 you are allowed to get your driving licence if you are disabled in certain circumstance, Insurance companies aren't allowed to charge you more because you are disabled because you get the vehicle adapted to you which makes it safe to drive. Its time for a change, It's time to get the funding that should be already available!
