Upper Yakima River Access

I'm for more access immediately, although it would be interesting to have a fish count in that stretch prior to access development to compare to other stretches of the river that currently have ample access.

The Yakima River is the best free flowing Blue Ribbon Trout Stream in WASHINGTON. More access to this portion of the River will create opportunities for the merchants of Ellensberg to sell gasoline, food, motel rooms and fishing gear to visiting Anglers. It is in the best interest of the area and the county as a whole to help anglers enjoy the great natural resources in this area. Access to the area in question is an inexpensive way to help create a great deal of business and economic growth for the County. Thank you for this opportunity to comment on this important issue.

Great idea that section of river awesome to float and fish. It would also help to lighten the traffic on the rest of the river.

Providing more boat and foot access along this area will provide more recreational fishing opportunities to some great water and therefore more increased awareness of the fishery itself. It will also provide more economic benefit to the areas communities.

Please help us to improve public access to this great river.

It would mean a lot to the sport. limited or .no access means our youth may not experience the great sport of fly fishing!

I love fishing the upper Yakirma River and would love to have additional access points for both boat launch/takeout and foot access. It would do a better job of spreading the pressure out on this section of river.

More access will cut down on illegal access and provide for angling opportunities for more people.

I fish the river often and lament the lack of access through the upper farmlands area from the diversion dam down to KOA. I applaud the action of the state creating the new takeout up river from the diversion. A launch below the diversion would be awesome. It would relieve some of the pressure to other parts of the river.

This is makes since socially and economically.

For safety, ( I spent 8 years as a volunteer in Ellensburg Search & Rescue) we need more access to the River in Upper County.
