We need more public access to state waters. I fear that existing access will be gradually reduced so that all fishing will become "pay to play" as is the case in many European countries.

In order to launch on the upper river, you almost have to go with a guide service for a decent access to the river

My family represents seven generations here in Washington State. Outdoor Recreation has always been a part of our lives here and public Access has been greatly diminished over the years. Any effort to provide the continuation of access for the public is necessary for the future quality of life for current and future generations.

The Yakima River area just below the diversion dam needs to have a good boat launch built that will allow public access to this stretch of water. It is a shame that on the states only true blue water trout river this much of the water can not be accessed by the public.

I would be thrilled to have the chance to fish new water on the Yakima River and lessen the pressure where fishing is allowed at this time. It's healthier for the fish and the sport. Thank you for your consideration.
