Just as anorexia was a mental disorder when it was “trendy” and “fashionable” during the 1980s, so gender dysphoria is a mental disorder. The damage done, particularly to young children, teens, and young adults from this deadly, trendy “fashion” is incalculable. Parents who promote and encourage this should be arrested for child abuse. Schools should not be made to conform and grovel to this dangerous insanity. As a retired middle-school and high-school teacher, I am horrified by the pandering to this mental illness occurring in many schools.
