It is inappropriate to remove the hill and so many trees Build something that suits the land, the topography.

This ill-suited plan requires clear-cutting eight acres of healthy trees, and flattening the natural topography of the property to accommodate roads, traffic circles and the large houses. This will dramatically impact the character of the neighborhood, cause irreparable damage to the natural environment, and be injurious to abutters, the neighborhood and our town.

Concord voted on these laws and we have the right to deny a special permit. There is nothing ‘special’ about removing this obscene amount of earth, except developer greed.

Please uphold Concord's Zoning Bylaw and the ZBA's unanimous decision to reject a Special Permit for earth removal as requested by Symes LLC. The proposed development of 1442 Main Street includes the destruction of 8 acres of mature trees and wildlife habitat (which serve as a natural noise and pollution barrier) and stands in stark contrast of what Concord residents deem desirable.

The ZBA listened carefully to the citizens of Concord and accurately represented our views and interests. Their decision must stand. We must not let this outrageous level of earth removal go forward.

The request for the amount of earth removal was beyond any norm. Please uphold the decision; anything short will put abutters, neighbors, children and adults at a health peril.

The decision of the ZBA was a reasonable decision based on the existing laws, with a focus on the development’s impact on residents and on the topography of the land. It should stand!

I support the ZBA unanimous decision in rejecting a Special Permit for 1442 Main St. Developers do not determine the direction of Concord building projects, this is decided by the residents who are represented by the Zoning Board.
