Final supporters
It has come to our attention that, as of December 30, 2012 - bothGLOBAL TVand SHAW MEDIA have decided to drop all hunting programming from its Saturday morning block of outdoors shows. We would like to send congratulations and KUDOS to both GLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIA for this decision and fully expect each to live by the promise of dropping these shows. We feel there is absolutely NO reason for the killing animals on television stictly for ratings and are impressed that GLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIA. have decided to take this brave step. It is our fervent hope that this will start a proactive trend in broadcasting communities globally!
It is our understanding that threats of boycotts and a letter-writing campaign has started on behalf of certain hunting groups. This petition is asking that you once again hold fast to your forward thinking idea of removing these barbaric shows and to also showGLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIAthe vast amount of supporters they have in making this decision!

BARBARIC is the right word. Keep them off the air. There is no sport in it and nobody wants to see that junk.
So happy this is over. Took way too long but better late than never. Keep standing strong against this stuff.
Big thanks to Global for doing the right thing. Hunting isnt entertainment and it never should have been aired in the first place.
Finally! My kids watch tv on sat mornings and i was so sick of them seeing animals get shot. Glad they listened.
Dont give in to the hunters. Most canadians disagree with this kind of slaughter for ratings.

I live and work in the Great Bear Rainforest from mid May to mid October as a wildlife photographer and for a bear viewing company. Killing any animal for the fun of it or for a trophy is WRONG no matter which way you look at it! Thank you for ending their time on your network! I can now watch Global on Saturday mornings again!!
