East kilbride is constantly growing - it's time our facilities grow at the same rate, and a decent rail service is only one of the amenities we lack. Sort it out!

Should be electric dual line, should consider re-instating old line beyond EK

Got so fed-up with the hairmyres to central service that it's more reliable, convenient and more comfortable to travel to Whitecraigs every day for my daily commute. So much for EK being a commuter friendly town!

Sth Lanarkshire Council greed consented to major housing development in West EK despite many protests to improve EK Rail nfrastructure as a condition. A Mindless Decision fuelled by greed. Improvements must now be a priority.

Almost all the local routes into Glasgow have at least 3 trains per hour. About time East Kilbride was afforded the same service. Long overdue.

I pay 92 pound per month to get to college in Glasgow, 92 pound is a lot of money for not a great service especially coming back from Glasgow at the rush hour.

Speaking as a now retired but long term user of tge EK to Glasgow train line, I would certainly agree that electrification of the line would significantly enhance the performance and passenger capacity of the line. But to do that efficiently, someone need to stamp on the face of the Office of Rail Responsibility to tell them that the clearances between 25kv wires and structures like bridges that were put in place in the 1960s & 1970s are still 100% safe and can be used for new cost effective electrification schemes like the EK Line rather than raising bridges far higher than necessary to meet totally unnecessary Euro standards and I speak as someone who wants to stay in Europe and who strongly wishes that the Labour Party would give some leadership on that for a change.
Try asking the ex M.D. of ScotRail, Phil Verster qhat he experienced with EGIP and why he is no longer there. The guys who did a very cost effective job on the Paisley Canal Line should be employed and empowered to tell the ORR to GTF!

Trains are best known for running late or cancelled , forever trying to get a seat as no one has the sense to put in more carriages at the busiest times. I've went for train at 5pm and only 2 carriages but earlier in day there has been more !

For a town the size of East Kilbride with the number of commuters it has, it is unbelievable it has only a single track.
