Kingston's athletes deserve better. Please maintain the sports fields so our children are not sitting inside watching t.v. on a wet night, but outside playing baseball and soccer.

These diamonds should be updated! Kingstodians have been going out of the city to play good ball because the diamonds here suck compared to others in Ontario. Just think about it, we update the facilities and people will want to come to Kingston and we can hold larger tournaments. In return, money going back into the city as people will book hotels, eat at restaurants and of course go site seeing at many of the historical places in and around the city.

Give the users the ball diamonds they pay for. Take some pride as a city as to what our rep house league kids play on

The diamonds are too small, too old and run down. The City of Kingston is missing out on the economic benefits that come with competitive ball.

I have played ball in cities across Ontario, and have seen many diamonds across the states, that are ten times better than what Kingston has to offer. They'll spend lots of money on hockey, but neglect the baseball and softball diamonds. I know we live in Canada, but there ARE other sports that Canadians prefer to play. Funding should be provided to increase Kingston's footprint on providing top-notch facilities to bring tournament money into the city.

I coach rep ball for Kingston and wish I could play all of my games on the road...that is very sad considering I have played baseball at a high level my entire life here in Kingston...

Injuries in hobby leagues aren't cool. The diamonds aren't safe.

This would not be acceptable in Belleville. What's different here?

The diamonds were an embarrassment 3 years ago when my son played with the Kingston Thunder . They will soon be unacceptable for OBA PLAY. There are many talented baseball players that have come from the Kingston area. With 30 Canadians drafted just days ago by the MLB it gives local kids more hopes and dreams of being their someday as well. Give these kids the basics of a properly maintained baseball facility. "If you build it , they will come"

Clean up your act! This is a sport for young and old. This is an excellent outdoor activity for them to enjoy and get active!

Let's keep our kids (and adults!) outside and having fun by giving them opportunity to use well-maintained venues to do so.

Given the recent reports of low levels of participation in sports and athletics by Canadian youth, we really need to provide facilities that encourage kids to participate and to get the best experience out of this involvement.
