I have been a huge advocate for combatting human trafficking and we have all been excited to see more undercover stings occurring to arrest predators.

Unfortunately, our criminal justice system is setup in a way that those predators and other sexually violent criminals are usually released from jail without serving much time or in some cases any time at all.
.
When we cry for reform in criminal justice, this is where it starts!

So how do we demand change?
1️⃣ Sign this petition

2️⃣ Contact your state legislation- demand that the bail and sentencing guidelines be updated (bail and sentencing are set by state and local gov not federal)

3️⃣ Research who are your county judges, do they have a record of being tougher on someone who smokes Marijuana than someone who commits rape of a minor?

4️⃣ Do your civic duty - many judges avoid taking cases to trial because people find ways to skip out on jury duty. This means the judges offer more lenient punishment or arrange plea deals so that it can be settled without a jury.
