I cringe every time I see NYC ACC in any kind of social media post. NYC has a horrible reputation all across our country for the way your city mistreats animals. Fix it and stop the suffering, please !

This place is place to practice animal cruelty & neglect. In a supposedly progressive city like New York City, I'm shocked by the archaic practices and lack of care & knowledge by city officials. It's a disgrace.

This place is no better than the Nazi concentration camps. It needs a complete overhaul with a caring, competent staff whose director does not brag about finding more efficient ways to kill animals so that she can make more money for the board members. For shame, New York!

Changed is needed in these animals lives. Also these shelters are no place for gentle loving loyal creatures to be thrown in and killed. It is the fault of the people . And the laws in NYC. Please help us in making these shelters no kill. There are thousands of volunteers all across the city and 5 boroughs waiting to step in and make a difference.

We have a moral responsibility to protect the animals at the NYC ACC's and the way the animals are treated in their shelters is beyond abuse. The shelters are filthy and healthy animals are getting sick. We were promised no kill in 2014 for 2015 and as of yet nothing. We want reform. We want the animals in their care to be truly cared for. A man or country's heart can be judged by the way it treats their animals. What kind of message is NY sending? ACC stop killing all healthy and adoptable animals. ALL LIVES MATTER...

I know it's irresponsible people that cause this in the first place and we SHOULD go after them too. But as for the conditions of NYC ACC and how they conduct things, they fail miserably in so many ways. The animals don't even have space to get out and relieve some stress. People from other countries can teach them a thing or two about how to run a shelter. They need to change NOW!

NY ACC is very secretive, and in actuality, accountable to no one. In spite of Scott Stringer's audit of the NY ACC and resulting scathing report of horrendous findings, there has been no positive change. It is an outrageous situation in which the animals suffer and die.

PLEASE don't turn away ...
New York City ... Supposedly the greatest city in the world ... fails miserably when it comes to its animal shelters. NYC ACC needs to be resystemized from the ground up. The killings are overwhelming. TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR THIS NON DISCLOSED /ONGOING NIGHTMARE. It's time to take animal rights and Welfare seriously. THERE'S A MUCH BETTER WAY FOR THESE ANIMALS. It's time for moral and ethical responsibility and integrity towards every animal that is unfortunate enough to walk through those doors. Please Sign and Share!!!
MAINSTREAM PUBLIC:
Please become informed. They only present the Sugar and Spice to you ... but not the Bad and the Ugly. We must have TRANSPARENCY.
Defenseless, voiceless, helpless.
PLEASE don't turn away ...

The TBD (To Be Destroyed) list is insane. It is not enough time for networking and sharing to be able to save animals on the list. No matter for 8 of those precious hours, people are asleep! Change the system!

This center should be an example, not something New york should be ashamed of. The time for change is now. Actually enact policies that will responsibly support no kill! Instead of just empty promises and mismanagement.
