We, the 4th year cohort of Primary Education at UOW in 2015, are overwhelmingly and extremely disappointed with the recently announced decision to change the date of our graduation ceremony.

We will complete our degree in November 2015 yet our academic documents will not be posted to us until the following January and we may attend a graduation ceremony in March or April of 2016.

The majority of our cohort have organised personal commitments and travel arrangements around the previously stated graduation week commencing Mon 14 December 2015. In 2016, many of our cohort will have accepted job offers throughout NSW, interstate or overseas.

We feel enormously let down by this decision and request an urgent review, reconsideration and reversal of this decision in our final year of study at the University of Wollongong.

I honestly cannot believe we hit one hundred signatures already because I was just venting into the void when I typed this up but here we are. It is wild how many of you are dealing with the exact same headache of trying to reconcile these new dates with actual life plans like job offers and travel. We clearly have a real problem on our hands so I am going to keep pushing to get someone to actually listen to us.

I can completely understand the reasoning behind the decision due to the lack of space/time. But the decision of who must be moved to April and who gets to stay in December is completely unfair, and does not seem well thought through.

Not acceptable!! I have family flying in to witness and celebrate my graduation and I am then leaving the area. You can't move goal posts on people, especially for a life event as significant as this! I have paid for degree and expect the same pomp and ceremony as other students at the completion of my degree, not months later!!

After 4years of hard work I think the LEAST you can do is reward your future teachers with a graduation ceremony. You aren't showing much support and it sheds a bad light on the University of Wollongong -a lack of respect Really disappointing

very disappointed that I most likely can't attend my graduation due to relocating for work in 2016 and celebrate my hard work over the 4 years.

Dear Sirs, This is the way to discourage young people. After a lot of hard work there need to be a reward and not after 6 months. You like to receive your reward(money) also after "hard"working!!!!! and that is only after a month. yours sincerely Hero.K. Bos BSc

This is pointless for those students who will already have jobs or be travelling, especially in foreign locations.

Please reconsider the graduation dates to be kept within 2015. Thank you.
