This sucks for students who have worked their asses off to graduate and be recognized. You can take a few more mins to do it right. Some of these kids have waited 4 years or more!

If UNT is looking to save money by shorting the students on their graduation ceremony, then the new President needs to get his priorities straight. Without students, there is no university. By denying students a decent and meaningful ceremony, UNT would be making it already very difficult to attract support from their alumni.

Tradition is a good thing. Don't try to change something that works. No one wants to sit in Apogee in the burning May sun to not get to walk the stage.

I see nothing wrong with the way it is now. Why change a tradition? I had planned to walk across that same stage my family has and I’m not to fond of losing that.

I have never been so upset, I feel like I have wasted the past 4 years of my life. All I wanted is for my family to see me walk across that stage and now all my family that is flying and driving in doesn't get that anymore. What a way for me to spend my finals week. So ashamed of UNT.

I helped coordinate commencement ceremonies at TWU for years and know first hand what a rewarding and emotional experience it is for graduates and families alike. UNT should retain graduation as it has been done for decades, as a service to its students, their parents, and the community. What they are suggestion is little short of having no commencement at all. Keep Commencement Real, UNT!

UNT needs to stop diminishing its value by continually removing traditions from the student experience. This has been going on for over 10 years and things need to change.

Because of the time and effort students put into their studies most of their friends are in their major and college, this type of ceremony will cumbersome on the whole university as well as graduates and their families.

Nothing turns a college into a degree mill like treating students like they don't matter. Bring back individual ceremonies, UNT. Treat your students like humans! For all the money we spend to attend classes, give us something back.

This is the lamest thing ever. I can to UNT BC it was a smaller school and the fact that I can't walk te stage with the whole is just pitiful.

I cannot believe that this is happening. I am not spending 4 fours working my but off to not have my own ceremony. If this is some way to cut costs because of the money the university owes the states of Texas, I'm sure there is some other way to do it. I mean of you think about it graduation is what we spend our 3-5 years working towards. I know I am personally upset because I will be grauating in December 2015. This is not high school, this is an institution of highee education and they want us to be on the football field... how classy.

I'm paying UNT $5,000 a semester, and they're not going to let me walk the stage? I'm going to go walk the stage anyways.

I've worked too hard to be sitting in a stadium with 8,500 students and not be able to walk across that stage and get my earned degree
