I spent half the night scouring old film forums and honestly the amount of lost footage rumors is just wild but it keeps me motivated to keep pestering the archives. Someone mentioned a contact at the studio who might know where the reels are buried so I am trying to track down an email address now.

I hope they release all the scenes. Especially the ones with Uncas and Alice. They never should have cut them in the first place.
I along with other parties are interested in watching the deleted scenes. They are part of the story.
Please, please release Michael Mann's original 3 hour version of this beautiful movie. Along with all the many fans world wide who fell in love with Last of the Mohicans when it was first released, there is now a whole new generation of fans who are hoping a release of the 3 hour version will happen.

Last of the Mohicans is still a very popular movie with fans around the world, and everyone wants to see the original 3 hour version. In fact, it is a disservice to the movie, the cast and crew, and to Michael Mann not to release it after so much effort and talent was put into the making of it.
We NEED the release of these scenes! Pleasesseeee!!!
We still need the whole story of Uncas and Alice! 30 years later!

Michael Mann was so wrong focusing on Cora & Hawkeye - the real love was between Uncas and Alice which was fascinating and unlike Cora/Hawkeye not just based on lust.
