The rural areas should remain exactly that....rural. The rural area around Stellenbosch is taking on a sinsiter trend with so-called farmers markets, restaurants, playparks, wedding venues, outdoor persuits, dog runs, pop festivals and the like which do not take into account the environmental imapcts on the rural areas. In addition, the winelands cultural landscape is being destroyed by such "venues". Load noice is also destroying the rural ambiance. Thiese trends are disturbing.

I support this initiative , possibly consider specifying times during which noisy activities can take place.

Long overdue. We have an informal church in our area that makes Sunday's sometimes unbearable. There are also other functions held at the hall which also pollute the area with loud noise.

One thing missing from this petition suggestion is the days and times to which this proposed new solution should apply. While I agree with the sentiment, some guidelines need to be set in place regarding days, times and regularity and not merely ban such events in their entirety.
