Unpaid UIF Learnership
We, the undersigned learners, are raising a formal complaint regarding the unpaid stipends for the UIF-funded learnership programme that we have already completed. We fulfilled every requirement, attended all training sessions, completed our assessments, and finished the programme as expected yet we still have not received our outstanding stipends.
This situation has caused serious financial and emotional strain. Learners relied on these stipends for transport, food, data, and basic living expenses throughout the programme. It is unacceptable for a learnership designed to empower youth to end without learners receiving what they are rightfully owed.
We call for urgent action from the relevant authorities, programme coordinators, SETA representatives, and training providers. We request:
1. Immediate payment of all outstanding stipends owed to learners.
2. Transparent communication explaining the cause of the delays.
3. Accountability from all parties responsible for managing and releasing learner funds.
4. A confirmed payment date to ensure that no further delays occur.
We have completed the programme in good faith, and we expect the same level of responsibility from those managing it. We respectfully request urgent intervention to ensure fairness and dignity for all learners
