This space is too small to give the endless reasons why CHildrens should not be subjected to mask wearing. In short, please consider our petition for the mental & physical health of our children. Masks can be optional for those that choose to wear them. My entire family works in healthcare and very strongly agree that masks are interfering with social behavior and learning, ineffective and cause more harm to children than any good to the 1% of society that is vulnerable and vaccinated.

As an RN that works in the hospitals I am keeping up with the latest evidenced based studies. With a 99.997% survival rate of covid, on top of very mild symptoms for the majority of kids who contract the virus, as well as the low transmission rate from children, I would expect us to take that as a gift from the Lord and allow our children to joyfully proceed back to Catholic school as normally as ever. This would mean no need for masks, as our children are able to pretty much go anywhere and everywhere at this point without a mask, of course as long as they aren’t exhibiting signs of illness, which is a common courtesy always, not just since this virus. Our children deserve to see optimism and hope and that the state of our souls is more important than just our physical well being. Our children also should not so lightly be given an experimental vaccine for a virus for which the risk of the long term effects of the vaccine are unknown the risks of contraction of the illness is benign. Please follow common sense and promote overall well-being for our children by lifting the Catholic school mask mandate immediately.

Our Children deserve common sense rules in California. Children across the country have been maskless for months with no issues. We can do the same for our Children. Each family should be able to decide what is best for them. Take the masks off our kids they need to be free.

Children are not a target of Covid 19 virus. It's unreasonable to require these children to spend their time in school with mask on. Please re-think your decision for them to wear mask.
