The district finally dropped the mask requirement. I am truly stunned by the outcome and know this belongs entirely to the group of people who stepped up to help. Let's keep paying attention to school policies to ensure things stay this way.
We, the voters, taxpayers, and families of the PISD, respectfully petition you to drop the mask requirement for all students and parents while on campus. Thank you.
I have been reading through the comments you all left and I am honestly overwhelmed by the sheer number of families feeling the exact same way. It is your stories that keep this moving forward because I never imagined so many people were waiting for an opportunity like this to speak up.

Seven of my grandchildren are in the Plano school district. Masks are not a normal way of life and the children need to stop being forced to wear them. Oxygen is more important in their lives than a virus that doesn’t affect the majority of kids.

Please show peer reviewed study that shows masks work. The American Association of Physician's and Surgeon's peer reviewed study shows masks don't work then the VA and Stanford study show all the damage being done by wearing masks. Lack of oxygen by rebreathing, migraine headaches ect.

As a teacher of PISD, I would love to see the masks come off! Our students need to see our facial expressions, and see how we form letters and sounds for reading and writing.

It’s time to unmask our children!! As a dental professional I have seen how this has effected children’s development. It is important that children breathe through their nose. It’s essential for brain development and jaw development. I ha e already seen children panic without their masks. They are afraid of natural air. .

It’s time the kids live normal lives. These rules are ridiculous! I’ve witnessed full contact sports where the athletes are all over each other yet others have to wear a mask. It’s insane and frankly a control tactic.

Many medical experts have asserted that we are past the point of efficacy in Covid 19 disease prevention by mask wearing, and may be doing ourselves harm by continuing the practice. With that in mind, and the detrement that our young people have experienced as a result, it is time to end the mask mandate in the Plano ISD.
