***MASKS ARE NOT POLITICAL*** In a few short hours parents of NJ will be bringing their little kids to kindergarten (still not full time) while administrators, following government orders, enforce strict mask mandates. Children will continue to be instructed to wear face masks covering the mouth and nose from the moment they arrive on school property and every second after. When they walk outside and all day during every subject including Gym. Little kids k-6 are the lowest percentage of people to contract/spread COVID-19. It is Statistically proven UNHEALTHY and UNSANITARY for them to wear masks all day. Especially when outdoors or during gym class where our kids will participate in physical exercises while being forced to BLOCK THEIR AIRWAYS. Masks are causing children to breathe in tons of particles and their own carbon dioxide repeatedly. But worse, mask wearing is detrimental to their psyche. For many children, crucial developmental learning details are not presented and as a result learning standards have been lowered. Emotions are suppressed in the classrooms. Think about being a little kid in kindergarten with all the desks separated and shielded with plexiglass, while not being allowed to take off a mask all day only for a sip of water or to eat.. and absolutely No Smiles?? Our kids don’t deserve this kind of continued deprivation. We need to take a stand to end this madness or it will only continue to the fall.
