Masking our children and keeping them away from other children has negatively impacted the mental health and the health of all in the classroom. Our teachers cannot keep on being expected by the admin to be the mask Gestapo and harm the students self esteem and self worth every time they ask them to cover up. It hurts them too. Our schools are struggling just to get by, and once the masks are gone, and kids are back in their seats kids, parents, teachers will find peace again. Remove the mask requirement for all children and teachers in GISD.
I am horrified that children who do not wear a masks are being put in closets and told to conform or stay home. This is not acceptable.
