Masks should remain optional. The children should be given the chance to attend in person school this fall mask free is they want it should not be pushed on them or required. The surrounding schools aren’t even making it mandatory to wear them so why is Frederick county. The state of emergency has been lifted. We need to resume normal life, this is a virus that is never going away. We need to build up our immune systems and get through it just as we have every other cold/flu virus we have come in contact with. Masks cause a learning barrier for all children but especially younger ones that are just starting out it is very hard to understand words and sounds from the teachers if they are masks or to read and see emotions. It is not normal to sit at a desk all day in a mask. To not be able to see a full face and smile at friends and teachers. Please lift this mandatory masks so that they can resume life as normal.

Look at the real statistics....get rid of the mask mandate. Kids will be forced to wear dirty disgusting unhygenic masks all day.
