I am starting this petition to strongly raise the issue of unjustified fee charges & hike for all classes at Amity International School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi.
I belong to a middle class family and I will be frank, at times,struggle to save and pay fee for two children at the beginning of new academic year.
We think about it, discuss with few close friends and then actually do not take any concrete step to raise the matter with concerned authorities. Years have passed and we are silently paying exorbitant Annual Fee, development fee which amounts to almost 15,000--20,000 each year for each kid. I have two kids and it doubles up for me and many more parents who have more than one child studying here.
Requests sent to management for proper explanation of charges mentioned in school fee are not addressed for last 1 year now. Even courts and Government Of Delhi have mentioned that this malpractice of overcharging for student fee EXISTS.
Annual fee is not supposed to be paid every year for existing students. They collect amount in tune to crores every year under this particular fee head from us.
Development fee is almost equivalent to Annual fee and both add upto 3-4 crores every year of what Amity collects. Do you think you have seen any such development in last few years?
Plus we are paying for Sports fee. There are no special sports facilities provided and in fact there is no proper ground or sports equipment provided. We are paying fee for our kids to be in ground of school premise and just to run around.
By signing this petition, you can help yourself (irrespective of your financial capabilities) & many families (like mine) who struggle to collect money to pay into kitty of Amity. And on top, avoid paying for what is not justified.
I believe and few of you would agree that all this extra money that we pay can be better utilized to provide more facilities to our kids at home and many more things.
We today have 2 choices today - ignore it and let it go on how it has for last many years or make a collective effort to save our hard earned money and not easily give up to unjustified financial demands of School Management.
I urge support from all AIS, Mayur Vihar, parents to sign this petition against unjust charges levied upon us. Parents from other branches and schools are also welcome.
I am definitely going ahead and will try best in my capacity to bring whatever relief possible. Your support will only ease things for all the students & parents.

Totally unjustified hike in misc and dev charges. Havent had proper outings in last year for kids. No annual function. Unnecassary stationery liaded on parents...useless sketch books even for kids without this subject...uncountable notebooks left unused at the at of year....just to name a few
This increase in fees and other Misc charges every year feels like extortion, without any extra facilities the management increases the fees every year is very painful. Just for name sake we don't take any action. But it's high time such malpractice should come to end and there should be a breather for parents also.
My full support as rightly mentioned, not much development has happened in last few years.. I hv two kids studying nd seriously on the name eof activity nd development nothing has happened. Basic facility like cafeteria is non existing.. Hv u ever heard of or seen a school wd out cafeteria??
The issue raised is absolutely genuine.I have to pay about 97,000 rupees in the first quarter of the session for two kids.This exorbitant fee is really hard to pay. The facilities provided by the school do not match the cbse standards.
Education should remain a noble cause it should not be connected with greed and whims of money making people. Fee hike should not be done in a way to disrupt the common man from qualitative education.

The fees at primary level is getting more than what we are paying as tution fee in some of private engineering colleges. The salaries at school level are no where close to salaries of teachers in engineering colleges, the campus, the labs are much small scale. So how can they justify such a high fees at school level.
