Applying to UT, I had to write about cultural competence and it has been a prominent topic of education and discussion in the medicine program. It is only appropriate that we at UT embrace each other as friends and peers in lieu of embracing a growing jingoism.

I do not go to UT but I am from Toledo, I completely, and 100% agree with this petition. Every single human being deserves kindness and compassion no matter where they are from.
