UR really let me down here, and I think it is our place as alumni to make that very known. If something like this happened at my current institution, I'd like to think they'd do better, but having spent the bulk of my time at one university or another since 1999, I can say with confidence that sexual harassment and sexism are all too commonplace in academia. I've been the victim and so have my female friends and colleagues. WE are more than tired of it and ready to make that known to UR and the rest of the world. There is sufficient evidence, UR, do the right thing. Sexual harassment and sexual predation and sexism have NO place in academia!
