I work late evening shifts and feel unsafe parking out on the street miles away when i have to go back in the dark especially after the attacker in selly oak last year. I have no option however as you can't park on campus for the 11 am shift that i have

My partner has enormous problems finding a spot to park in the morning. Her shift pattern means she starts work later than others, but it is very unfair that she, and others like her, are so badly inconvenienced due to what is a blatant lack of parking facilities.

Parking at Ash/Beech/Cedar House has always been a nightmare, made worse with the Sports Centre not allowing their own staff to park within the Centre itself. The Multi Story does not give an indication of when it's full. It would save a lot of time for staff/students/visitors if something can be done about this aslo. The local non-University community should be considered as the overflow has led to staff parking in the side streets in Selly Oak, sometimes blocking access to drives.

In 10 years of parking on campus there have never been more people at UoB nor fewer parking spaces to accommodate them, as far as I'm aware. The current situation is absurd.

Lack of parking space making life really difficult

It is very difficult to find a car space if you come to the office slightly late. Have to park somewhere once for a meeting, and I got a ticket to park there.

The situation was bad enough before the closure of the North Car Park. Now that term has started it has become impossible to park. It's a very stressful start to the day. Public transport isn't an option for me, as I do the school run before coming to work. Please find a solution soon.

I can almost never find a place to park on campus and I am charged sometimes even when I do not find a space.

always such a hassle finding a place to park, should knock the old sports centre down and put a new one there.

Parking at the Uni is ridiculous! We have to pay for parking yet spaces are non-existent and to use the multi-storey car park you would have to pay out extra if you have already swiped in elsewhere. We should all go on strike like the bin men until something is done about this!!!

Clogging adjacent residential streets is no solution. They are already over-burdened and will turn to Residents Only schemes.

I work fixed hours starting at 9:30 and can't get onto campus before 9:15. Several times in the last couple of weeks I have been on the very top of the multi storey car park such that it is clear that if I had arrived 5 minutes later I would not have found a space. This is causing me significant anxiety as it is not possible for me to make up missed time and I do not feel I should be penalised for the University failing to provide adequate parking for staff.

I, too, organise events for external visitors and feel the need to warn them about the parking situation. I also have had people try to park, could not and had to miss the event. This has had some negative consequences for us. I also agree that contractors should not occupy spaces in the multistory. I try and use the car park underneath Gisbert Kapp but the entrance to that is often blocked by contractors' vans and lorries.

Instead of asking us to cycle to work which is highly patronising, not to mention dangerous, how about creating some more car parks. You are stressing all of the staff that work here out and you are making us pay for this shambles of a service.

Paying x amount per month to park, and not being able to do so when getting here extra early (and whilst car-sharing) is mad really....

In support of my colleagues who drive (I get the train) it is obvious that additional car parking spaces are urgently required on campus. The idea of car share is a non starter for many people and most people do not feel safe cycling. Yes its great to have new buildings but you have to think about the needs and requirements of the staff and the impact this is having on everyone.

The work men are taking up the majority of spaces with their vans on the multi storey this needs to be looked at and for them to park else where. It is ridiculous that we have to leave home 2 hours befoe uni starts to get a car park space.

I organise high-profile events on campus, and either though we warn people of the parking problems, we have had people arrive, be unable to find anywhere to park, and go home. It is embarrassing for us and our reputation
