I spoke with a brother that is an organizer and asked him why the UA would support Clinton over Sanders when they had first endorsed her. He told me that the idea was to support who was the probable winner early in order to have more say if they win.
She is not nearly as probable as she was back then and I do not think that we should be endorsing candidates based on probability. Bernie has been the candidate who is obviously more pro-labor/middle class.
I personally have donated several hundred dollars to Bernie's campaign back when he was still a long shot. I did it because I highly doubt that I will ever see a candidate in my lifetime that has stood up for the middle class as much as he has. This is a historic campaign year and the UA went with the safe road rather than for the one that aligned more truly with our beliefs.
If the UA is able to endorse Bernie, even if it is too late to do it monetarily, to say that this is the candidate we believe supports us and our organizations purpose and beliefs would be a step in correcting a past mistake.
I am a devout UA member and I believe we do most things right. Supporting Clinton was not one of them.

He is the best option for strengthening our Union & all Unions futures! Quit worrying about losing fossil fuel jobs, and look at all the new piping that will be needed in alternative energy!

She must have payed the UA for their backing. The UA is not looking out for us. Our own officers at all levels down to the local buisness agents have lined their pockets at our expense..

The Ua will support a flat out lying traitor over Bernie ? How distasteful she has destroyed classified documents allowed our service members deaths with no reinforcements , has a plan to destroy our 2nd amendment rights and brags about , has taking money from Goldman Sachs just as the republicans , has done nothing for the working class and is running on nothing more than her husbands name ? I'm embarrassed to call myself part of the United association if this is who and what kind of a person you will endorse . Maybe vote as an American instead of another greedy business , because we have all watched as you have sold your own members out over and over while you have made your 6 figure plus salaries a year and we have lost homes and marriages over your lack of everything ! The union is a great thing but you are as corrupt as biliary.
