The Plymouth NHS Trust has confirmed they will not participate in the southwest pay consortium. This decision represents a victory for all staff members who prioritize stability and fair conditions. We shall remain vigilant to ensure the reclaimed fees are redirected toward essential patient services.

With morale in the Trust already at an all-time low, we the undersigned would encourage the Trust Board to concentrate on restoring some stability to the organisation and focus on getting a permanent leadership team in place, rather than exploring ways to potentially attack and undermine our members’ Terms and Conditions. We are therefore calling on PHNT to lead the way on this issue and not participate in this consortium. We feel it is important that PHNT are able to recruit the quality of staff needed to provide essential services to care for Plymouth’s most vulnerable people. In addition, given the difficult financial situation that the Trust currently finds itself in, if the Trust has already paid the £10,000 ‘joining fee', required to be a part of the consortium, we would like to see this money reclaimed.

Ridiculous that they can find 10k for a fee but not for the hard working people actually doing the job. get your priorities straight.

this trust is a mess right now. maybe focus on fixing the leadership instead of messing with peoples contracts. ridiculous.

Absolute joke. reclaim that 10k immediately and put it back into patient care where it belongs.
