It is unacceptable to redistrict children to schools performing under state averages! We moved to our community for specifc highly-rated schools & want to stay where our children are thriving!
We must think about the impact this process is having on our children and teachers. I agree, we were very selective and deliberate in our search for our home 8 years ago. The right neighborhood AND the right schools. We understood growth was inevitable however we NEVER thought we would be fighting for a quality education and safety of our children.

If we wanted our kids in the other schools we would live there.

The BOE needs to think about our children and how this will negatively impact them. They are not a profit center and should not put housing growth ahead of their primary mission to provide our children with the best educational opportunities available. That is why we came here and now they are taking that away.

If I did not know better, I would think I am living in Mecklenburg County. I moved to Union County so that my child would graduate from the school he is now attending.

We buy our homes due to the intended school. You have no right to bus us elsewhere! This is stressful on the students and the parents!

Let's work as a community to exhaust all possible solutions before we have a knee jerk reaction & redistrict!

If you live less than 5 miles from your local HS...you should be assigned to that one...NOT one that 24 miles round trip. Listen to the community...we have rights!!

Please consider adding on to existing schools versus transporting our children unnecessarily.

I am a mighty marching cavalier! I will not move to Parkwood. We have so much money in the band program. Once a cavalier always a cavalier!
