Ridiculous that you can't list anything without getting flagged.

Craigslist doesn't care about its users being abused and harassed by these flaggers. All they care is that people keep coming by to their site weather it's to sell or buy. I see people selling drugs and even prostitution on this site all the time and their ads never get flagged. They don't care about what happens on the site. They count on these "flaggers" to decide weather the ad should be flagged or left alone. I'm sure "Craigslist" has more than enough money to higher a larger staff to keep better track of their users and prevent all this abuse. Use ebay classifieds instead. Less of a head ache, same outcome.

The system is unfair and probably the most vulnerable system for abuse I have possibly seen in my 43 years. Simply terrible design that needs to have some validation such as what is listed in this petition.

i was unfairly flagged by a disgruntled person who was replying to my ad for online English teachers. he was demanding my private email address before sending me his. when i would not he flagged me. my ad is legitamte and follows the craigslist tou. the only option i have to combat it is through a joke of a forum option. i am trying to help my company find more online English teachers, help English teachers who wish to work online and earn a referral bonus when someone is hired.

my post has been repeatedly flagged and removed for kittens. I have provided daily pictures and this is in no way an agency. We also breed Golden Retrievers and are very reputable breeders and are members of various clubs.

All of my ads get flagged around 2am and I'm pretty sure it's from the SPAM competition. They post billions of ads at a time and when you read through their ads, they give you a fake email address to message. Why hasn't Craigslist flagged them too?

I post some that are flagged for no reason. I'm not swearing or anything bad put in the post. But from what I heard here in Buffalo NY. I was told there are 4 people who constantly flag posts just because they can. I'm sick of my normal posts getting flagged.

Flagging has always been an ongoing sometimes problem, mostly by our competition. Ever since they started charging dealers posting fees, it has been horrible. Especially when we post auto parts or vehicles.

Please let's stand to do something about this, I'm not rich and the frequent flagging has definitely put me in a terrible position financially when I was in a bind and craigs was all I had to get rid of that car or that bike to help pay bills, I couldn't because I was flagged over 100 times in a day and have the screen shot to prove it

When you stop and think about Craigslist flagging process it is really quite ridiculous. In a world that many people feel we need to simplify some things.This is not one of them. If your going to flag someone's listing Craigslist should make your flagging take some time for one thing. Meaning the person doing the flagging is going to spend a half hour in the process. This is basic 101 business in the process of getting people to buy spontaneously, on the spot,. You don't want to set around and flag people flippantly if its going to take some time out of your miserable life. Both partys should benefit from this. Sellers Buyers and yes you to Craigslist. Your Chief CEO should be replaced for not noticing this flaw its its solution. If you would like. Lets set up a team to implement this procedure. I NEED A JOB

I was flagged for posting an ad looking to adopt a free pet. I even posted that I wasn't looking to buy one, so the ad did not solicit a pet sale, which is prohibited on Craigslist.

This is annoying, they need to change their outdated system for flagging.

I sell cars in PA, I'm a car dealer. I sell cars cheaper than anyone, I always follow all the rules I put everything through Craigslist and for some God awful reason every time I post a car It gets flagged and removed and then when I repost it even if I use different pictures and info it then gets ghosted by Craigslist. I'm completely sick of this flagging system and personally would rather they do away with it all together. It's infuriating dealing with this all the time. I hope someone comes out with an alternative website that has just as big a platform I would love to see Craigslist closed down!

Only trusted moderators should have the power to remove posts. Craigslist lets anyone delete a post they don't like for any reason. This has to stop

I am also the victim of harassment flagging. I depend on CL to sell things i no longer need and CL makes it too easy for people to be idiots or keep competition from posting.

My wife and I posted our piano for sale, and within 24 hours it was 'flagged'. There was nothing wrong with the post. We were stunned, until we started reading about flagging abuse and then it all made sense -- that someone who was in the business of selling pianos likely flagged our post to prevent competition.
