We would like to express our sensitivity regarding the termination of employment of one of our colleagues, Miss Amelia Lualhati, working for the Alliance Française of Brunei Darussalam since 1995. Although we could understand the reasons leading to this decision, we regret that there was no mark of appreciation reflecting her seventeen years of services and dedication to the Alliance Française of Brunei Darussalam.
Indeed, consequently to this resolution, Miss Amelia Lualhati will shortly have to cope with her return in Philippine, settling down with a handicapped daughter at charge and two years of retirement allowances to pay in order to obtain her pension.
Miss Amelia Lulhati does not only work as a caretaker according to her contract but she is also the one who warmly hosts new staff and students of Alliance francaise, the one who can host all the public and give any information, and mainly she is the one that all generations of members, staff and students knows since she is the eldest one among staff to stay year after year.
At last we solicit your generosity and your support.
17 years of service and this is the thanks she gets? totally shameful. hope management rethinks this and does the right thing.

Amelia has been the heart of the place for so long. treating her like this after all those years is just cold. she deserves way better than a silent exit.
