The TSSA (Technical Standards & Safety Authority) is mandated by the government of Ontario to do site inspections at gas stations at least once every 3 years. Prior to our purchasing this station it was well over 6 years since their prior inspection. The TSSA showed up on our second day open and did a full inspection which resulted in many deficiencies. They've since been back two more times (all in our first year) and have added to the list of deficiencies. While I've taken care of several of their issues and have been working on others I have not had the time or money needed to take care of them all. They now want to shut us down on September 20th. Without the ability to sell fuel at our site, it is not very likely that our store and restaurant would survive. Please help us send a message to the TSSA that they should give us the same time extension that they gave themselves. All we're asking for is a level playing field. There are no leaks. No one is in danger. We will continue to monitor our entire fuel system.
