On January 19, 2020, Lee Granade returned her 11-year-old son, William, to the home of her ex at approximately 6:30 p.m. Within minutes, the home was fully engulfed in flames where her child had been left alone, supposedly while her ex and his wife of 3 weeks visited an unlit dog park. Wm narrowly escaped with his life - and nothing else. Their daughter would return later to discover that all of her earthly belongings were gone, including her cat. Subpoenaed documents would later show that the cat had been surrendered by her ex, Robert Jimenez, at the local humane society, shortly before the fire.

Jimenez was in financial peril at the time of the fire, having spent well above his annual salary the preceding year in litigation. His “good friend” is county attorney Robert Achurch who represents the police; all grew up together as young men in Beaufort with the (now notorious) legal dynasty, the Murdaughs.

There was NO fire investigation, NO referral to SLED or DSS, in violation of Bluffton Township Fire Department protocol and the sheriff department’s Arson Orders. The solicitor and sheriff will not discuss or return calls.

When Lee referred the matter to SLED personally, Capt Bryan Jones said that “locals would not allow an investigation,” and claimed lack of jurisdiction in a recorded call to Lee.

Insurance documents would show that payouts began to Jimenez and Lee (both legal owners at the time the home was destroyed), within minutes of the 1st engine’s arrival on scene. Jimenez intercepted 100% of the proceeds which Lee would report to local authorities who took an incident report, but refused to investigate.

Lee has reported the (apparent) public corruption to the Sheriff, Dept of Insurance, and AG Wilson, even taking out a billboard for the AG that would be pulled in short order. Nothing.

Her children remain at risk and authorities appear resolute to SILENCE her. Among other threatening tactics, she was recently served a “cease and desist” from SLED because she asked too often for updates.
