If the tuition fee is raised next year, I will not be able to afford to stay and complete my second year of the Masters program I am enrolled in. This information should be made accessible to people BEFORE they decide to enroll at TU Delft, so that they are fully aware of the costs that will incurred for the duration of their study. Please do not implement this fee for any students that are currently enrolled at TU Delft. Begin implementation in one year, for students that have not begun their studies.

With such a tuition fee, there will be a clear preference for internationals to pay the same fee in US or Canada and study there instead of Delft. That will definitely affect the reputation of TUDelft.

As a non EU student who graduated from the university a few days ago, it is indeed surprising to see that TU Delft is blindly increasing fees without taking into consideration where most of their international students come from; Asia. From my experience, TU Delft doesn't give a damn about the costs (the housing costs have shot up in the last two years, and prices for small rooms are ridiculous). I understand the first year fees to be high (classes are attended and professors have to teach), but in the second year, the fee is too high (in my opinion, considering that doing a master thesis and an internship is about the only things a student does) and to pay this kind of a high fee to do a thesis is just ridiculous. Personally, it feels to me that one would pay about 700 euros for a meeting with the supervisor for an hour over the thesis. Very expensive.
In the end, the fee hikes are not justified when you take into consideration the university does not do anything even remotely to look at how their intake of international students is not balanced by ample opportunities after graduation.
Just go to Germany, where the fees are cheaper, and the integration is better, and the cost of living is cheaper.

Please consider the case of non-EU students who come from countries with currencies having a lot lesser value as compared to the Europian currency. For example, 1 Euro is worth 75 Indian Rupees. We already face a daunting currency conversion rate. This will make the situation worse and deter talent from such countries from enrolling in TU Delft. Every year, approximately 15% of the international students of TU Delft come from India. So it is safe to say that such a fee hike will affect a major part of the international students population in TU Delft.

This is extremely unacceptable. As it is, we non-EU citizens pay about 7 times what EU citizens pay. Plus we face so many other difficulties as compared to Europeans. An increase of 2% every year is justified, however this increase of more than 1500 is extremely unfair on us foreign students, most of whom are not rich people and are funding their study through loans. This is a horrible way of milking money off international students who enroll in this university in large numbers.
