We, the underisgned, protest the undue leniancy shown by Sudanese court in the case of Lubna Ahmed Hussein. Hussein has been convicted via due process of law and we find her crime both insidious and troubling. We applaud the relevant authorities in Khartoum for upholding the simple rights of common decency; but request her sentence be increased to incorporate additional corporal punishment AND a custodial sentence. We, the undersigned, recommend this course of action to the relevant Sudanese authorities in the interests of great justice and in the hope that Hussein will serve as an example to any like-minded individuals.
