True the space is dead, many people us it to skate but at the moment there are no halfpipes or ramps for skaters to use. With a strong Roller Derby team this city would only benefit from the repurposing of this otherwise unused space. Some shop vendors could operate here during the day, also, to accommodate the skaters.

These facilities are so important for the youth, it's an inexpensive activity for them to take up and provides hours of healthy exercise, vital for our well-being. Parks little this encourage social integration with in the community acting as a comman interest hub for people of all ages and backgrounds. Having these facilities encourages more people to start these sports, stimulating the industries, which is great for the economy. These parks pay for themselves with how the benefit society.

Great idea! They’ve just spent £85K on a pump track so this should be feasible

This is a must have for the skate scene of Portsmouth! The city has some incredibly out-dated facilities and a huge number of people that use them which is a shame for such talent!
