Would be amazing for our kids (4&6) and avoid the tears on a sat/Sunday morning when the Southsea update comes through as park closed!!

my Nephew has recently got into skateboard and I was blown away by what a positive space a skatepark is for kids and young adults. I’d love it if he had somewhere to go all year round. 100% behind this x

Always though this space should be used for a skatepark - would provide an enviable all-weather facility for the local area, reclaiming unused space to ensure the venture does not impact on anybody else's quality of life.

Every time I've driven past this spot, i always think it would make a great skate park. As someone who's returned to skating after a 13 year absence, i can't think of anything more awesome than a park near to me that protected from the weather. Such a great idea. The different sports that use these facilities are now more social with each other than ever. This wouldn't just be a great place to skate, this would help communities build stronger bonds. That alone makes the project worth it.

This needs to happen, Portsmouth doesn't have anywhere free and decent to ride especially as the weather is on and off it all ready has the drains in place they can work around, really good for the younger generation as well as the older guys big up and sign guys
