A
fast burning fuse has been lit that will soon explode unless you and I
do something about it. Our families and children are exposed to
increasing danger of gangs and drug related violence in our community. Lack of funding has cuffed law enforcement and is preventing them from defusing the threat.
Our friends in law enforcement have tried to be proactive for seven straight years by seeking essential funding to rid our town of unwanted gangs and drugs. For reasons I don't understand, they've been denied each time. It’s
too late to take a proactive stance and now we have to be reactive, but
together we can make this town safer and more desirable. Our current commissioners have an opportunity to help diminish the growing threat.
As Michael Renew posted, Monday March 16 commissioners will be presented with reasons to take the cuffs off law enforcement and defuse the threats.Hopefully, they won't ignore the problem and let it blow up on all of us.
Since
the meeting is being held at 9:00 a.m., when most of registered voters
are at work, you may not be able to make the meeting to voice your
support for the safer future and community for our families.
Your voice can be heard. By signing this petition, you will send a strong message to the only ones who can take the cuffs off the law enforcement community and equip them to do their job and keep us safe.
I support the Spalding County Sheriff's Department in all and everything they do. They needn to be able to do the job they were trained and love to do.
