We, the students of Beginning Social Dance (PHYA 231), propose that the University create an Intermediate Social Dance for those who wish to continue learning the skills and techniques that they first acquired in PHYA 231. Based on the well-established popularity of the Beginners class taught by dance professional Sunny Yu, we believe it in the best interests of the students at the University of North Carolina that an Intermediate class also be offered. Below are the signatures of students who support the immediate creation of a one-credit Intermediate Social Dance class. Thank you for your consideration.
