UNC students deserve a health plan that is affordable, covers the full range of health care, and is on par with standard health insurance plans. Since the majority of health plans in the United States offer abortion coverage, it is common sense and expected that the UNC student health plan offers abortion coverage.

Anti-abortion groups are rallying to remove abortion coverage from the UNC insurance plan available to students. In effect, they are singling out a safe and legal health service and threatening to impede UNC students’ constitutional right to access abortion. Let the Board of Governors know that these anti-choice individuals do not speak for you!
