Philanthropist Thomas Guy founded the famous hospital that bears his name in 1721. In 2020, the hospital covered his statue and it has remained shamefully hidden from sight for over two years since.
We hereby call on the hospital to unbox his statue. We also call on Southwark Council Planning department to enforce its removal as an unapproved, indefinite alteration to a listed monument and building.
