This is a petition for LISD to unblock the following applications and websites:
YouTube
SoundCloud
Pandora
Google Images
Yahoo Answers
We ask for these apps and websites because they are used for educational and entertainment purposes.
Many students use YouTube to look at videos for lessons on a topic they are learning, or may want to watch an entertaining video.
Students use SoundCloud and Pandora because they might not be able to buy the music, or they might want to broaden their musical interests.
Students need Google Images and Yahoo for school work. Many teachers assign work that may require a picture, and students have difficulty finding one. Yahoo is also a good way for students to get help for specific problems and other people's experiences.
We ask once more for the release of the block on these applications and websites.
