Petition Statement:
We, the students of the Shipley Art Department, are requesting that access to Pinterest be restored on our network and school-issued devices.

Pinterest is widely regarded as a visual search engine and a positive "safe space" for digital inspiration, rather than a typical social media distraction. Blocking this platform hinders our ability to:

  • Access Educational Resources: It is a valuable tool for finding visual inspiration for art projects, design, architecture, and, DIY educational tools.
  • Research and Innovation: It helps users curate ideas for school assignments, presentations, and creative thinking.
  • Support Mental Wellbeing: It provides a calming environment for students to destress through creative exploration.

Overly broad content filters often restrict access to harmless, productive websites. We believe that unlocking Pinterest will foster a better, more creative, and more engaging environment.

We urge the administration to reconsider this block and allow us to use this essential tool for learning and inspiration.[Sign the Petition Here]
