Appeal to Reconsider the Restriction on "Sindhudesh" Terminology and Flag Representation on TikTok

This letter comes from a collective of concerned individuals, comprising creators, historians, cultural advocates, and members of the global Sindhi community. We are petitioning against the prohibition of the term "Sindhudesh" and the display of the Sindhudesh flag on TikTok. The current restrictions significantly hinder our efforts to disseminate, celebrate, and enlighten others about the profound cultural heritage and political visions that characterize our identity.

Context:

"Sindhudesh" signifies more than a mere geographical term; it encapsulates the profound cultural and historical essence of the Sindhi people, mirroring our rich heritage, enduring traditions, and collective aspirations. The Sindhudesh flag, likewise, stands as a beacon of cultural identity and pride across the Sindhi diaspora. The ban on these symbols curtails not just the freedom of speech but also obscures the opportunity to share and revel in the illustrious Sindhi culture and history.

Our Plea:

We earnestly request TikTok to:

1. Reassess and overturn the ban on the usage of "Sindhudesh" and the representation of the Sindhudesh flag on its platform.

2. Acknowledge the inherently cultural, historical, and peaceful significance of these emblems.

3. Facilitate a platform for open, respectful discourse and content sharing concerning Sindhi culture, history, and ambitions, devoid of censorship fears.
