The administration reversed the policy and allowed us to wear our shoes again. I am completely drained after this fight but I am glad we finally reached the finish line. Please use this responsibility well so they do not find a reason to change their minds.

Final supporters
My friends and I are trying to bring back Heelys. They are fun to wear and extremely efficient. We got away with it for a few weeks, but out of nowhere the teachers started complaining and showing us that in the school handbook that there is a rule against shoes with wheels. Sure, Heelys might not be something everyone wants to wear but you should at least get to choose if you wear them or not for yourself. The only real issue I've heard about Heelys so far is that you might run into another student in the hall. Sure, but that happens even without awesome shoes. If we run into someone we should be grown up enough to stop apologize and make sure they are alright. Let's go for 200 signatures to get Heelys unbanned at Fort Osage Highschool.

The teachers keep stopping me in the hallways to tell me why this is a bad idea. It is exhausting to have to explain that we are capable of moving through a school without causing a disaster. I am not stopping yet.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels heavy because it confirms so many of us are tired of these arbitrary rules. I am exhausted from the constant back and forth with the administration but seeing the support keeps me moving forward.
